Het symposium onderzocht de complexiteit van stapsgewijze zorg in obesitasmanagement en had opmerkelijke sprekers zoals Gert Van Assche, Hoofdarts aan UZ Leuven, en Frank Vandenbroucke, de Belgische minister van Volksgezondheid. De dag was verdeeld in twee hoofdsegmenten, waarbij het tweede werd ingeleid door Euan Woodward en een multidisciplinair team van UZ Leuven.
