It is intended for all primary care providers working with children and adolescents (2\u201318 years) and supports them in developing an integrated, feasible, tailored approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What makes this guideline unique?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Considers obesity as a chronic condition with multifactorial determinants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promotes a multimodal, person-centred approach, attentive to physical, mental and social factors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emphasises interdisciplinary collaboration and clear referral pathways<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides practical guidance for diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up in primary care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focuses on sustainable lifestyle change and empowerment, rather than weight loss alone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Childhood obesity has a significant impact on health and well-being, both short and long term.
